07 —Designers ↔ Code ↔ Engineers
Who does what, who reviews, and where Figma still fits.
Designers
Shape and decide
They own what each component is, how it behaves, and when it's done. They shape components directly in the system, with tools helping along the way — without needing to be engineers.
Code
The one official version
Pix4D's own codebase — design settings, the basic building blocks, and full components, following the team's setup and conventions. The tools work here, inside the safe limits the system provides.
Engineers
Review and ship
Every change is submitted for review. Engineers check it, run the automatic checks, and ship it. Nothing reaches the live site without a person owning it.
Figma
A view of the codebase
Generated from the code for exploring ideas, presentations, and stakeholder conversations. A view of the system — never the source, never a second copy of it.
One line, one direction. Designers shape, tools assist, engineers review, Figma reflects. Every component is reviewed by a person and shipped by a person — the tools make the loop faster, not looser.
Next
Roles settled. Before the plan, proof: one component from the list, shown start to finish.
